On the day I visited this stunning spot, it was overcast and heavy and the sound of distant thunder was drawing nearer. The soft flowing water from a natural wishing pool trickled by as pure white noise from the waterfall that had carved it gave me an understanding of why this place has been kept hidden and why the Druids chose it as a sacred place of worship.

I was invited to shoot this scene on the condition I never, ever, reveal where it was taken. The owner of the estate is one of Scotlands oldest family names who stressed, "this beauty should be shared with the world, just not the location".

And I have to agree too. Scotland is beautiful, but it wouldn't be the first time one of our hidden gems has become "internet famous" only to become a trampled mess within a few years.

This spot is sacred, perfect and those who know of it hold it dear to their hearts. It was only one small part of a gorge so beautifully sculpted by the nature around it, I truly understand why visitors aren't encouraged to come here.

I keep all my MP3 downloads restricted to 10 minutes as longer clips become too large to save in phones and portable digital media players without eating up storage space.
